A leaked image of the second generation Moto 360 smartwatch shows gold-colored metal version of the smartwatch.
The image was posted by the notorious leaker Evan Blass who uses the Twitter handle @evleaks. Prior to the recent leak, the Moto 360 was photographed sporting a leather band with rose gold and silver color variation. However, the new leak from Blass shows the metallic version of the smartwatch that comes with in a gold color variant.
According to NDTV, there are rumors claiming that the upcoming second generation Moto 360 will support Moto Maker, which will allow users to fully customize the device.
The second generation Moto 360 will come in two sizes. The smaller version of believed to have a 1.37-inch display, 20mm band and 24mm body. On the other hand, the larger version will sport a 1.5-inch display, 22mm band and 46mm body. In terms of battery capacity, the smaller version has a 270mAh battery pack while the larger one will have a 375mAh battery pack.
Not much has been revealed about the second generation Moto 360. However, there are rumors claiming that Motorola is working on a Sport version of the smartwatch. According to Engadget, the Moto 360 Sport version is based on the 42mm version of the smartwatch. However, instead of the standard leather and steel build, the Sport version is made out of rubber and exercise-friendly material. A built-in GPS will also help joggers by providing more accurate location readings compared to the standard accelerometer.
Lenovo, Motorola's parent company, previously announced that the second generation Moto 360 will be unveiled on Sept. 8 at an event in Shanghai, China.
