The finale episode of "Scream: The TV Series" has established what will go down when the MTV series returns with season 2 in 2016. Executive producer Jill Blotevogel has teased in an interview a couple of storylines in "Scream: The TV Series" Season 2.
Here are the 5 storylines that are expected to be explored in "Scream: The TV Series" Season 2:
1. Piper Shaw (Amelia Rose Blaire). Executive producer Jill Blotevogel has confirmed in an Entertainment Weekly interview that Piper/Ghostface killer is dead and gone even though her body was never found. Meanwhile, Blotevogel told TVLine that there is a possibility that the fans can still see Piper in the second season through flashback scenes.
2. The second Ghost face killer. The finale episode of "Scream: The TV Series" Season 1 insinuated that Audrey Jensen (Bex Taylor-Klaus) is the second Ghostface killer through Piper's letters and the Lakewood police evidence. Blotevogel told Entertainment Weekly she will neither confirm nor deny that Audrey is Piper's partner in crime but the MTV series will explore on Audrey in season 2 because the character was in contact and involved with Piper's plans.
3. Emma's life after the Lakewood murders. The Ghostface killer terrorized Emma Duvall (Willa Fitzgerald) and her mom, Maggie/Daisy (Tracy Middendorf), in the pilot season of the MTV series. Blotevogel teased in an interview with TVLine that Emma will become stronger, more cautious and defensive in "Scream: The TV Series" Season 2 following the unpleasant confrontation with the Ghostface killer who happened to be her half-sister.
4. The possibility of a third Ghostface killer. Blotevogel is not ruling out the possibility of Piper having more than one accomplice in "Scream: The TV Series" Season 2. When asked if the third Ghostface killer could be Jake Fitzgerald (Tom Maden) because of his control over the malware, Blotevogel teased that the bad things the characters done in the past can still be explored in the upcoming new season and beyond.
5. Seth Branson's past. Blotevogel teased that "Scream: The TV Series" Season 2 will definitely dig deep into the past of English teacher Seth Branson (Bobby Campo) like what really happened to the student he dated before Brooke Maddox (Carlson Young). "I would like to see him in Season 2. He's definitely not going to be teaching at Lakewood anymore. [Laughs] But his presence would be really interesting," Blotevogel told TVLine.
"Scream: The TV Series" is set to return for a second season in 2016 on MTV. There are no details yet on the exact premiere date of MTV's teen horror-drama series.
