"Jurassic World" star Chris Pratt took to Twitter to pay tribute to his late father Daniel Clifton Pratt over Labor Day weekend.
"Your to do list: 1)have kids 2)play outside 3)teach them to fish 4)take pictures Thanks Dad. Miss you man," Chris tweeted on Sept. 5, Saturday, along with an old photo of his father. A young version of him and his brother Cully Pratt posing next to their father and holding fishing rods is in the photo.
Having suffered multiple sclerosis for several years, Dan died in 2014 while Chris was filming Colin Trevorrow's "Jurassic World," which was released on June 12.
Chris was in New Orleans when he heard the news about his father's death. In an interview with GQ in June, the actor said he knew being the lead in "Jurassic World" that he was really responsible for everybody's attitude so he compartmentalized it all and dealt with it in his own way "but not openly for people to see."
The "Jurassic World" star added, "I got pretty angry and got drunk and almost got in a fight with a drug dealer outside of my hotel room."
According to Chris, his father, who was mostly worked as a contractor, was a hard worker and a good problem solver.
Recently, Chris has been busy filming Antoine Fuqua's "The Magnificent Seven" in Louisiana along with his "Jurassic World" co-star Vincent D'Onofrio, "Sinister 2" actor Ethan Hawke, "Magic Mike XXL" actor Matt Bomer and "The Equalizer 2" star Denzel Washington, among others, Hollywood Life has learned.
