According to ABC News, Laszlo was filming Syrian refugees fleeing at the Hungarian-Serbian border, when the shocking video taken at the site captures her consciously sticking her foot out as a man carrying a child,  trips and falls at the Roszke holding area.

The clip shows the man falling on the field with the child beneath him before he gets up from the ground and begins scolding her.

The Daily Mail quoted a statement by the TV station saying that a colleague in their team behaved in a manner that is "unacceptable" at the Roszke reception area. The statement went on to say the employment of the individual has been terminated but it did not mention the person by name.

According to the publication, opposition parties Együtt-PM and the Democratic Coalition have said also said they will initiate charges of violence against Laszlo, which carries a prison sentence of up to five years.

The refugee that Laszlo tripped was among thousands who were fleeing following mistreatment by the Hungarian Police. The migrants have been waiting for hours at a reception area, some for days, while others ran through fields or followed train tracks towards Szeged in a bid to continue their journey.

The Hungarian government has failed to control the masses which illegally transit the country, with many refugees trapped outside the border for days.
