Just days after Britain denied it has a kill list, UK Defense Secretary Michael Fallon admits that Jihadi John is number one on the country's roster of state enemies that its drone attacks in Syria would target.
Mohammed Emwazi, the real name of the notorious Islamic State (IS) beheader, is also number one on the kill list of United States. Numbers 2 and 3 were also recently killed by air strikes or drone attacks. Britain previously said it is closing in on Jihadi John who has threatened to go back to Britain and kill non-Muslims.
The numbers 2 and 3 on the list are Reyaad Khan and Ruhul Amin, respectively. Fallon did not name numbers 4 and 5, but said that there are several terrorists in Raqqa, Syria, who are planning to attack Britain, reports The New York Post.
To stop the jihadists from further spreading their atrocities - including mass rapes, beheading, kidnapping and other forms of killing - Fallon said British forces would carry out more air strikes in Syria, reports National Post.
"There is a group of people who have lists of targets in our country, who are planning armed attacks on our streets, who are planning to disrupt major public events in this country. Our job is to keep us safe, with the security agencies, is to find out who they are, to track them down and, if there is no other way of preventing these attacks, then yes we will authorize strikes like we did," Fallon says.
