"Game of Thrones" actress Emilia Clarke said she cringes at having to do nude scenes as Daenerys Targaryen in the hit TV series. The actress already told HBO executives she is done with shedding her clothes for the fantasy drama because she wants to be remembered for her acting chops, not breast exposures.
"I don't want to have sex thrown in my face and I've always thought the suggestion is so much more titillating than the act itself," Fox quotes the British actress. Clarke considers most sex scenes on film and TV gratuitous and just made to bring in more viewers.
Cinemablend notes Clarke is using her popularity as bargaining chip with producers of the show to keep her clothes on for her scenes. But the other characters in Season 5 have several brothel scenes that require nudity.
Besides Clarke, another actress in the series, Lena Headey used a body double although in her past movies, she had done nude scenes. As more actors demand to keep their clothes on, TV producers for series like "Game of Thrones" and "True Detective" need to hire porn stars to act as double for actors no longer willing to show audience their skin.
One such porn actress is Samantha Bentley who expressed willingness to bare it all as body double of actors with different set of values. But while Clarke managed to keep her clothes on, HBO executives do not share her outlook, so viewers could still expect to see more breast exposures in Season 6, courtesy of adult film actors.
