"Outlander" is not returning to TV screens before 2016. However, to give a glimpse of the new look of the lead characters Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) and Claire Fraser (Caitriona Balfe) from the season 2, their pictures from the shooting location in Prague was revealed on series' official Facebook page.
In the pictures, they can be seen dressed in bright and colorful clothes. Balfe was seen wearing an exquisite flower printed brown and golden gown. She had her hair tied in a high bun and she was seen waving to the fans as she headed to shoot her scene. Heughan was seen wearing a beige colored coat and a plaid print skirt. He had his hair tied in a neat pony. He coupled his look with black boots.
In one of the photos, he and Balfe were seen standing near a horse carriage. In another photo, Heughan was also seen giving an autograph to a fan on her neck.
According to Deadline, the season 2 of "Outlander" will be set in 18thcentury France. Previously Ron Moore had stated that they will not shoot the scenes in France but will try to find the location in Scotland. However, now it seems Prague is the filming location to depict Paris.
Season 2 will reportedly return to Scotland after a few episodes. Jamie and Claire will be shown struggling in France as they become parents.
"I think that having to figure out as a couple how they remain connected and keep their bond strong in [the] face of all these different adversities," Irish Independent quoted Balfe at the San Diego Comic Con. "I think that's kind of the main theme of the second season."
"Outlander" season 2 has been based on Diana Gabaldon's second book in the "Outlander" series "Dragonfly In Amber."
