Japanese tech giant Sony has announced its four new controllers and nine new HDD base covers for its PlayStation 4 during its Tokyo Game Show (TGS) press conference in Japan.
The four new PS4 controllers come in silver, gold, transparent crystal, and steel black. The silver, gold and steel black controllers will be launched on Nov. 6, while the transparent crystal will be on Dec.3.
The nine new faceplates will be released on Nov. 6 as well for roughly $20 (¥2,500). Players can choose from these color variations: purple, red, yellow, pink, gold, silver and more. All colors, except got gold and silver, are all available for pre-order now. according to IGN.
These launching dates are for Japan only, and Sony did not give any statement whether the PS4 controllers and hard drive panels will be available on United States. However, the company announced that gold and silver controllers will be launched in Europe.
Additionally, the company will be selling its wireless round headset starting on Dec. 3 for $100 (¥12,000). PlayStation Vita with color variations is expected to launch on Sept. 17 in Japan, and it comes classic black, aqua blue, neon orange and glacier white. The aqua blue PS Vita under the 2014 "Slim" redesign is set to launch in North America this November. It will be only available at GameStop for $199.
The company also announced at TGS that its much awaited Morpheus VR is now being renamed as PlayStation VR. Sony is also dropping the price for PS4 consoles in Japan only starting October in lieu to the upcoming holiday season, NDTV Gadgets reported. From $399, PS4 will be sold only at $292 for Japanese consumers.
