Tech giant Google recently launched the Google Fiber Academy. The new project from the search giant aims to teach the necessary training for installers in order to provide top quality customer service for the company's high speed Internet service.
Many experts agree that Google is planning to give its customers not only the best high speed Internet connection but also the best customer support and service. The Google Fiber Academy was launched in metro Atlanta and will make sure that Google Fiber technicians will deliver the best customer service when installing Fiber connection into a customer's home.
Google plans to use the facility in Atlanta to train in-home installers employed by third party vendors all over the country especially on how to properly handle customer issues related to the Fiber service. Aside from providing customer service trainings, the academy will also offer courses that focuses on best practices and techniques when it comes to the installation of Fiber as well as demoing the technology to new customers.
Google Fiber director of customer service Alana Karen posted on Google Fiber's official blog, "Google Fiber is shaping people's expectations - they're demanding faster Internet at more affordable prices. My hope is to have this same impact on customer service."
Karen added that the academy will help in raising the bar when it comes to customer service. Among the highlighted goals include the 33 seconds maximum waiting time when calling customer service, according to EWeek.
Google Fiber is currently available in Kansas City, Austin and Provo. Google recently announced its expansion plan which should include the following locations: Atlanta, San Antonio, Salt Lake City, Nashville, Charlotte and Raleigh Durham.
