In an interview with "Showtime," UFC fighter Ronda Rousey was asked by host Jim Rome about her opinion on abstaining from sex before a fight, wherein Rousey said that she needs to have as much sex as possible.
Unilad reported that Rousey's reason for doing so is for her to raise her testosterone level.
She clarified that she just doesn't do it with everybody or put out an ad on Craigslist. Rousey explained that if she's seeing someone steady at that time, then she would hint about it.
The champion also said that although male boxers tend to abstain, she read that there is no substantial evidence proving that this helps.
According to USA Today, Muhammad Ali used to abstain from sex for six weeks before a fight.
The lady fighter said that abstaining could do the opposite and decrease testosterone levels based on her personal research.
Rousey is set to play the lead role in the remake of Patrick Swayze's cult classic "Road House," where she plays the character of a bar bouncer who is highly skilled in fighting. The UFC Women's Bantamweight champ has appeared in previous blockbuster films such as "Expendables 3," "Entourage," and most recently, "Furious 7." The 28-year-old feisty fighter is also filming her biopic which is based on her book "My fight/your fight."
On November 15, Rousey will fight Holly Holm in Melbourne, Australia. Now you know what she needs to do to get ready for this big fight.
