NBC premiered a new dramatic series, "Blindspot," on Sept. 21, Monday, at 10 pm. The highly-anticipated pilot episode featured Jamie Alexander as the anonymous woman, Sullivan Stapleton as FBI Agent Kurt Weller and Ukweil Roach who is playing Dr. Bordon.
"Blindspot" episode 1 began with a large canvas bag on screen. The bag is found abandoned in the middle of Times Square with a note attached that reads, "Call the FBI" after which streets are cleared and a bomb squad is called upon.
As the bomb squad approaches the bag, it starts moving and its zipper flies open from inside. A stark naked woman (Alexander) emerges out who is completely covered with freshly made tattoos and is visibly confused and disoriented.
The woman is taken into custody. The next shot shows shows FBI Agent Kurt involved in harrowing takedown of an armed suspect holding three women and a baby as hostage. He ends the operation successfully after which a helicopter picks him up and transport to where the naked woman from Times Square is being held.
It now appears that agent Kurt is called upon as his name is tattooed in prominent letters across the woman's back. The agent does not know her and is equally baffled. Dr. Bordon chips in to explain that the woman has been given some unknown drug which has efficiently induced in her a permanent state of amnesia. Jane Doe, as she is now being referred as, does not remember anything before the time she climbed out of the bag.
Dr. Bordon declares that since this is a unique case, it cannot be ascertained when or how will Jane Doe recover her memory. A team is quickly assembled for the agent Kurt who will try to figure out who she is and what message is tattooed on her body.
