Fans of the movie Limitless will now be able to revisit the drug-fueled universe as the TV spin-off hit the small screen this week.
No less than its star Bradley Cooper will spearhead its dive into to TV reprising his role Eddie Mora in the pilot episode. He also serves producer and will occasional guest sta in the series. In case you have not watched the pilot yet, Cooper passes the torch to Jake McDorman, who plays protagonist Brian Sinclair.
Marc Webb, director of Spider-man and (500) Days of Summer, helmed the pilot episode where viewers will see Sinclair gets tangled with the drug NZT and the complications it brings. In the "Limitless" universe, Cooper's character Mora is now running for senator when Sinclair crosses paths with him.
Speaking to Slash Film, Marc Webber raved about Cooper saying, "Bradley's a nuclear weapon."
Webber said, "You have to be very careful about how you use that kind of thing. A real talent, but he was involved not simply as an actor but creatively as well. We had a lot of conversations about the creative impulses of the show. He started off in TV and has a real savvy understanding of how it works and what it takes to make a show work. He worked with Alex [Kurtzman] and Bob [Orci] on Alias. He has quite a good head on his shoulders."
The Limitless TV series will also star Jennifer Carpenter, known for roles in the popular TV series Dexter and horror movie Exorcism of Emily Rose. Carpenter will play the female lead partnering with McDormand's character as they track down the maker of the NZT drug.
