The Blackberry Venice smartphone release date is rumored to be in November.
The upcoming Blackberry Venice is expected to be powered with Android operating system, iDigital Times reported.
According to Android Authority, an image of the gadget was also leaked recently. This image shows that Blackberry Venice will feature a QWERTY keyboard along with a 5.4-inch display screen. The device is also expected to feature an 18 mega pixel primary rear camera and 5 mega pixel secondary front facing camera, along with a RAM of 3 GB.
The camera sensor is expected to be accompanied with a dual-LED flash. It is also expected to be equipped with Snapdragon 808 chip set clocked at 1.8 GHz. The leaked image also showcases a SIM card slot along with a micro SD slot at the top of the device. This implies that the device will feature expandable memory option, which was absent till now in the Blackberry devices.
It is not a hidden fact that Blackberry is getting trailed behind tech giants like Apple and Samsung in the arena of smartphones. Hence, adding Android as the operating system for Blackberry Venice could be the strategy to bring back the popularity back to the brand name and brand value.
The previous model of Blackberry is still running on the company's own operating system Blackberry 10 OS 10.3.2.
The company is also trying to popularize its Blackberry Passport Silver Edition device, which was released a while ago. This device sports a 4.5 inch screen with high resolution, which is also square in shape. It also features a battery capacity of 3450 mAh which can support the device up to 30 hours straight.
