There are at least two things fans expect to see in "2 Broke Girls" season 5, which is set to premiere on CBS this fall. Max Black (Kat Dennings) and Caroline Channing (Beth Behrs) are rumored to become no longer broke and Vanko "Oleg" Golshevsky's (Jonathan Kite) father is said to appear.
In an interview released by CBS in August, Kite was asked who he wants to play his father in "2 Broke Girls." The actor's first choice was "Gangs of New York" star Daniel Day-Lewis but he said "The Devil Wears Prada" star Meryl Streep can also do it.
Aside from Day-Lewis and Streep, Kite also said "Everybody Loves Raymond" alum Brad Garrett as his "2 Broke Girls" character Oleg's father would also work pretty well.
It is yet to be confirmed if Oleg's father will appear in "2 Broke Girls" season 5. Also, there are still no comments from Day-Lewis, Streep and Garrett whether or not they are interested in playing Kite's father in the CBS sitcom.
In the interview, Kite also said he always likes when their characters' relatives come in "2 Broke Girls." He explained, "Like Matt Moy, who plays Han Lee. His mother came, which was such a funny episode. Or like when we meet Caroline's aunt. I always like to see our relatives. So maybe we'll meet my dad."
In a different interview with Gotham magazine, Kite talked about his secret for perfecting the Ukranian accent of his "2 Broke Girls" character Oleg. He pointed out that he grew up in the Chicago land area, where there were many Eastern Europeans.
