Blade the vampire-hunting Daywalker is reported to share the big screen with the Avengers.
Wesley Snipes plays the character in various "Blade" film. In his interview with The Huffington Post, Snipes to promote his new television series "The Player," Snipes said that seeing Blade team up with Earth's Mightiest Heroes would be interesting. The actor also said that he was thrilled to know where Marvel would place his character, who was going to "bite" somebody.
In the comics, Blade has fought along with other members of the Avengers and has become a member of the Mighty Avengers. It was in the "Ultimate" comics where the vampire-hinting Daywalker formally became part of the official team, as per Cinema Blend. The character became a great help to Nick Fury when the latter and his team made an attempt to halt a vampire incursion.
While Blade could join forces with the Avengers, Marvel Studios has to confirm whether the events in the comic book will be adapted in the studio's Cinematic Universe.
In addition to his role in the "Blade" films, Snipes is also known for his roles in Marco Brambilla's action crime sci-fi film "Demolition Man," Andrew Goth's action fantasy horror "Gallowwalkers," and Patrick Hughes' action adventure thriller film "The Expendables."
Aside from an "Avengers" project and John Rogers' drama thriller film "The Thriller," Snipes is also set to appear in the film adaptation of Raul Julia-Levy's action fantasy "Chronicles of the Mayan Tunnel" and Spike Lee's drama film "Chi-Raq."
Exact details on the plot, characters, and cast of the project are yet to be confirmed while the release date of Rogers' "The Player" is yet to be revealed.
