Fans of 'Suits" were left in suspense when Mike Ross (Patrick J. Adams) was arrested during season 5 midseason finale of the USA Network legal drama. While Harvey (Gabriel Macht) turned in Ross' resignation letter from the company, viewers were left wondering who might have turned him in.
Season 5 will return with new drama and cases in its midseason premiere episode titled, "Blowback." As seen previously, Ross was arrested for fraud just when he resigned from the firm and was preparing to get married to Rachel (Meghan Markle).
Showrunner Aaron Korsh told The Hollywood Reporter that he and the rest of the crew did not put much consideration on the person who got Ross arrested. Korsh said, "The bigger question is: What are we going to do about it?"
However, the showrunner was intrigued by the number of messages he got and people asking him about the mastermind of Ross' arrest. Korsh pointed out that the question will be answered in the following episodes of season 5.
Meanwhile, the publication apparently hinted that Rachel's parents could not be responsible for Ross' arrest. Rachel came from an affluent family and Ross' case could have been a disgrace to them.
In another interview with Yahoo! TV, Korsh unveiled that season 5B will be a game-changer for everyone. He noted that Mike's arrest will affect everyone in the company including Harvey. He said, "So Mike's arrest is definitely gonna change the trajectory of what would've happened had Mike not been arrested, had they just moved on. We're still working that out."
"Suits" season 5 episode 11 will air in January 2016.
