"The Vampire Diaries" alum Nina Dobrev recently slammed rumors that she will be back to reprise her role as Elena Gilbert.
Ahead of season six's finale episode, Dobrev already announced her exit from The CW series.
However, even though she previously said that her decision was final, fans still speculated that there is a chance she will return in the upcoming episodes or seasons.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, the award-winning actress said that Elena will never return to "The Vampire Diaries" because she already closed that chapter of her life.
However, the actress stressed how grateful she is to the network, the producers and the creators of the show for entrusting the character to her for the past six seasons.
Meanwhile, even though Dobrev is no longer part of the hit series, the actress revealed that she will watch all episodes from home.
"I can't wait to see what the new season will look like. I'll be watching. I'm very excited for my friends," she said.
Talking about how "The Vampire Diaries" changed her life, Dobrev said that the show witnessed how she transformed from being a young girl to a young woman.
"We've grown up and over the last six years we've become women. These were six incredible years that I've had the pleasure of sharing with all of you guys. I wouldn't be here with you. I wouldn't be here without Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson," she said that 2015 Teen Choice Awards.
"The Vampire Diaries" season 7 will premiere on The CW on Oct. 8 at 8 p.m. ET.
