The latest "Supernatural" Season 11 casting news confirm that Nate Torrence is set to appear in the hit CW TV series that stars Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles. Torrence will be portraying the imaginary friend of Sam Winchester (Jared Padalecki) in the eighth episode of "Supernatural" Season 11.
The "Supernatural" fans will finally meet Sam Winchester's imaginary friend in the upcoming new season. According to an exclusive Variety report, Nate Torrence has been cast as Sam's childhood imaginary friend named Sully.
As a kid, Sam was often left alone in motels while waiting for his dad John Winchester (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) and older brother Dean (Jensen Ackles) to return from a hunt. Sam created his imaginary friend Sully to entertain himself while killing time.
The fans will meet Sully in "Supernatural" Season 11, episode 8 titled "Just Imagination" because he will be needing help from the Winchester hunters. Richard Speight Jr., who portrayed "Supernatural" character The Trickster/Angel Gabriel, will return on the CW TV series but not to reprise the role of the Archangel.
Richard Speight Jr. will be sitting on the director's chair to work on the eighth episode of "Supernatural" Season 11. Meanwhile, dealing with an imaginary friend is just one of the minor things that Sam and Dean Winchester must sort out in the upcoming new season.
The bigger picture will involve the Darkness, an ancient evil that the Winchester brothers unleashed after removing the Mark of Cain on Dean's arm in the previous season's finale episode. The synopsis of "Supernatural" Season 11 premiere episode in a Hypable report teased that Sam and Dean Winchester are going to face their biggest threat ever in the new pre-biblical villain of the show.
The new season will also pick up where the finale of "Supernatural" Season 10 left off. The viewers last saw Sam and Dean inside the Impala as the Darkness swallowed up the area.
As for the angel Castiel (Misha Collins) and the King of Hell Crowley (Mark Sheppard), there will be a brutal battle between the two "Supernatural" characters as a result of Rowena's spell on the angel because she wants to get back at Crowley. The premiere episode of "Supernatural" Season 11, which is written and directed by Jeremy Carver and Robert Singer, respectively, is scheduled to air on Wednesday night, Oct. 7, at 9/8c on the CW Network.
