New "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" details will have gamers see a ghost within the game and speculations that game series will continue without its creator.
Konami stated that they are still developing new titles for the Metal Gear game series without the help of its original creator, Hideo Kojima. "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" became a huge success this month and has received many outstanding reviews from different video game critics around the world, but all of the success came with a huge price after a tumultuous behind-the-scene dispute between Kojima and Konami, which resulted on the Metal Gear creator leaving the company.
Kojima's departure from Konami has caused the production problems to another upcoming title "Silent Hills," in which, he will helm alongside "Pacific Rim" director Guillermo del Toro and will have "The Walking Dead" star Norman Reedus as the main character. "Silent Hills" was officially dead before it ever got started, leaving fans to wonder if "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" could be the last game in the series.
Konami community manager Graham Day told GameOnDaily that the Metal Gear game series will continue on and that Metal Gear is all about the story and its characters hinting that Konami will likely revisit the franchise at some pointing the future. Day added that their stance for making making more triple-A console games has not yet wavered and urges everyone to not believe everything they read within the press.
Although gaming fans are happy that the Metal Gear franchise will live on, there are still others who doubt the future of the game now that Kojima has left and has been known to be pretty hands-on when it comes to developing his games.
In other news, a new secret from "Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" has been revealed as YouTube usersname xefenarchmagi posted video that features a ghost hanging around underneath the streelights of a base.
Kojima Productions has put in several strange Easter eggs within the game depending on the weather, birthday and the many times the players showered in the game. It is speculated that the ghost is a clever nod to "Silent Hills", the game that Kojima was supposed to work on after "The Phantom Pain", GamingBolt reported.
"Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain" is currently available for PS4, Xbox One,PS3, Xbox 360 and for the PC platform.
