Stick is set to return in Drew Goddard's television series "Daredevil" Season 2.
Scott Glenn will play the role of the character in Goddard's forthcoming television series. According to Realty Today, Stick's hidden motives led his return to the series. However, it was not indicated whether such plans are forces of life of evil. He is also reported to have appeared along with Stone, who was presumably linked to The Chaste.
Marvel Television Head Jeph Loeb told Marvel that seeing Glenn perform in the first season gave them the idea that the actor should be brought back for more. Loeb added that Glenn was a unique actor and they were geared to magnify his connections with Matt Murdock, also known as Daredevil.
In the comics, Stick is depicted as a blind sensei, who trained Murdock. One of his missions is to preserve the cleanliness and purity of the Chaste from negative forces. As a master martial artist, Stick has telepathic abilities, the ability to drain life energy from an individual, and an acute hearing, taste, touch, and smell.
Set in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, "Daredevil" centers on Matt Murdock, known as Daredevil, who is a lawyer during the day and a crimefighter at night. In addition, the television series is said to be aligned with other films and series of the franchise.
"Daredevil" Season Two stars Stephen Rider as Blake Tower, Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple, Elodie Yung as Elektra, Jon Bernthal as Frank Castle/ Punisher, Elden Hensonas Franklin "Foggy" Nelson, Deborah Ann Woll as Karen Page, and Charlie Cox as Murdock/ Daredevil.
Created by Goddard, the television series was renewed for a second season in April and filming has begun in July.
With the exact release date yet to be confirmed, "Daredevil" is slated to premiere on Netflix in 2016.
