Korean boyband GOT7 is showing a different side in their new music video "If You Do." The MTV is angst-filled, which is a complete turnaround from their usual fun, feel-good vibe.
According to Allkpop, the brand new MV has already reached 1 million views in less than 24 hours! Fans seem to embrace the dark side of the boys more.
As of this writing, it already has more than 1.7 million views on YouTube.
Kpopstarz reported that the group has decided to step away from their cheery image, which propelled their last mini album "Just Right" to immense success.
The seven-member boyband is composed of leader JB, Youngjae, Junior, Mark, BamBam, Jackson, and Yugyeom.
The track "If You Do" is from their new mini album "MAD." The song is produced by Black Eyed Pilseung and composed by Rado and Choi Kyusung.
The song is about a man's love for a girl who does nothing but magnify the mistakes of her boyfriend. The video shows the angry side of the boys exhibiting destructive behavior but still keeping their hairstyles in check.
Prior to the release of the music video, members of GOT7 gave fans teaser upon teaser to boost the hype of their upcoming single.
According to KMusic, Youngjae was the first one to release a short teaser featuring him walking on a street before spray painting the wall beside him.
Next up was Bambam's short teaser which showed him smashing the windshield of a car. Last was Yugyeom's teaser where he was shown ringing the doorbell but after getting no response started to punch and pound the door.
