It's official. Maddie Ziegler confirmed that she will be returning to "Dance Moms" season 6. After months of speculations that she will be leaving the Lifetime series to pursue her acting career, it seems like Ziegler has changed her mind and opted to remain in Abby Lee Miller's ALDC.
According to an event posted in Eventbrite, a kickoff special for the upcoming season is slated on Oct. 3 at Santa Monica, California. Ziegler, along with Nia Frazier, Kendall Vertes, Kalani Hilliker and Jojo Siwa, will reportedly grace the launch which could only mean that she is still part of the reality series.
It was said that fans will get a chance to ask the "Dance Moms" cast about "boyfriends, rivalries, their favorite dances" and what to expect in season 6. Tickets were unsurprisingly immediately sold out since the announcement.
Fans of the reality series have always been worried that Ziegler may be leaving the show for good. With acting projects and endorsements left and right, some believed that Ziegler has already lost interest in dancing and wanted to pursue a different path.
The 13-year-old star said that she has always wanted to be an actress. Speaking to MTV Australia, Ziegler acted coy when asked about what will happen to ALDC come season 6. She said that she is having second thoughts of doing "Dance Moms" again, adding that she had been going on several auditions.
Ever since she appeared on "Pretty Little Liars," some fans thought that she will eventually become a series regular. Ziegler described the experience as "the best week of her life," saying that she wanted to star in more shows like that "PLL."
