The iconic web slinger Spider-Man is set to stand out in Marvel's Cinematic Universe.
In his interview with IGN, Marvel Studios Head Kevin Feige explained that Spider-Man could be a dynamic force in Marvel's Cinematic Universe, since it was where he belonged. Feige added that while Marvel has a number of powerful superheroes, Spider-Man was still one of a kind. With his inclusion in the film, he could transform the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Spider-Man has shared the big screen with characters like Gwen Stacey, Mary Jane Watson, Aunt May, Harry Osborn, and Randy Savage, according to Cinema Blend. While Sam Raimi's and Marc Webb's films have shown elements of thrills, actions, and sentiments, fans are set to see the iconic friendly neighborhood superhero deal with his co-superheroes this time.
Meanwhile, "The Impossible" actor Tom Holland is set to play the iconic web-slinger in Jon Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot. But before that, he will debut the character in Marvel's Cinematic Universe in Joe Russo and Anthony Russo's forthcoming Marvel Comics film "Captain America: Civil War," which centers on the release of the Accords. It is released by the government to limit superheroes from using their powers.
While fans are set to see Captain America clash with Iron Man in "Captain America: Civil War," Spider-Man's role and side in the film is still unknown at this point and is yet to be revealed.
The Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is set to premiere in the United States on May 6, 2016 while Watts' "Spider-Man" film reboot is set to hit theaters on July 28, 2017.
