While Rocksteady's "Batman: Arkham Knight" will be the final installment in the "Arkham" series, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment recently teased that this does not necessarily imply it will be the final one of Batman.
Ames Kirshen, the vice president of product development for Arkham and DC comic games at WBIE told PlayStation Blog how important Batman is for the firm.
He said, "Batman is one of the cornerstones IPs for Warner Bros. With the Arkham series, we were finally able to realize the full potential of the character."
Kirshen then emphasized that the company currently has no plans for the caped crusader and future games that will feature the character.
Talking via GameSpot, the vice president said, "We don't have anything to talk about at this time [regarding future Batman games], but the possibilities are endless with a character as dynamic and beloved as Batman."
Apart from Rocksteady, Kirshen also dished on other developing groups behind other "Batman" titles such as "Injustice: Gods among Us" and "Batman: Arkham City Lockdown," created by NetherRealms, and "Lego Batman" by TT Games.
Now that "Arkham" series has come to an end, fans can only watch the final game series, "Batman: Arkham Knight," as they wait for further updates from the game publisher and developer concerning the next games.
Enthusiasts of the caped crusader can also have a look at the appearance of Batman in the recently launched game "Lego Dimensions."
"Batman: Arkham Knight" is now accessible in a variety of online stores and retail outlets. The game is available for the next-gen consoles, PS4, and Xbox One. However, the PC version will be available in a few weeks to come.
