Mandy Moore is more than excited to reprise her role as Rapunzel when "Tangled" TV show premieres this 2017 on the Disney Channel. The "A Walk to Remember" star has started recording her voice for the show. Zachary Levi will also return as Eugene, a.k.a. Flynn Rider in the series.
According to Entertainment Weekly, the TV show takes place after Rapunzel returns to the castle. It will reportedly follow her as she tries to get to know her parents, her kingdom and the citizens of Corona. Her parents wanted her to get married immediately and take on the role of a princess but Rapunzel convinced them that she is not yet ready. Rapunzel believed that she needs to learn a lot more before she becomes a princess and embarks on an epic adventure of a lifetime.
In "Tangled Ever After," it was revealed that Rapunzel and Eugene eventually got married. The series will take place before the short and immediately after the movie.
Meanwhile, speaking to Business Standard, Moore shared that she will be releasing a new album in 2016. She said that she has been feeling "unfilled" lately from taking such a long hiatus.
Moore, however, explained that it was her own decision to take a break from singing and acting since she has been working for so long. She added that she has been working on multiple non-profit organizations. She shared that while she enjoyed being a global ambassador for multiple charities, she missed music and wanted to get back to the recording studio.
