Samsung will be introducing the next generation Samsung Galaxy S7 in a few months, with the S indicates as Super-Smart.
Rumors on specifications and price are making rounds online and there are a few things that give people hints about this upcoming device. The Galaxy S7 release date is pretty much locked down and it is definitely to cost just as much as its premium predecessor, the Galaxy S6.

Software and storage
Galaxy S7 is most likely powered by Snapdragon 820 CPU with Adreno 530 graphics. Samsung has used its own-brand Exynos chip in the Galaxy S6 model but decided to return in using Qualcomm, with a rumor that Samsung is already testing the Snapdragon 820 for use in the Galaxy S7, AndroidPIT reported.
The processor is said to have a 35 percent improvement over the Snapdragon 810. It will have a 4GB of LP-DDR4 RAM, paired with 32GB internal storage. This upcoming device from Samsung will arrive with Android Marshmallow as its operating system.
Display, design and measurement
Codenamed as Lucky 7, the device will probably feature 5.2-inch AMOLED screen. It is also possible that Samsung will also use curved display technology found on the Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge for Galaxy S7. The handset may use the combination of metal and glass that gives a premium feel.
Gorilla Glass may be out of the question because the South Korean tech giant files a trademark request for a new type of protective glass called Turtle Glass, which is believed to be stronger compared to Gorilla Glass, according to PC Advisor. To make the device lighter, the company will possibly use magnesium-based alloy.
Camera and battery
Reports claim that Galaxy S7 will come with a dual camera setup; a 16MP main camera and a 5MP front-facing camera. As for the battery capacity, it is likely that Samsung will adapt Galaxy S6 Edge battery and support wireless charging.
Other features
It is expected that the device will have a reversible USB Type C, just like OnePlus 2. Galaxy S7 is also rumored to have fingerprint scanner, heart rate monitor and IR blaster for controlling devices around the house.
Price and release date
Galaxy S7 may possibly sells at starting price of $650-700 (base model) or higher. Recent rumors suggest that Samsung will unveil the Galaxy S7 in February 2016 during the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event, and it will be available by March or April.
