Chinese smartphone maker Doogee Mobile is preparing to launch its latest affordable Android smartphone, the HomTom HT6, sometime in November. The HomTom HT6, which is the successor to the HomTom HT5, is expected to pack a massive 6250 mAh battery.
The HomTom HT6 is currently available for preorders via Tiny Deal at US$149 only. Specs-wise, the new smartphone sports a 5.5-inch IPS display screen with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution (HD). It has a sharp 13 mega pixel camera on the back along with a 5 mega pixel camera on the front.
Under the hood, the HomTom HT6 packs a MediaTek MTK6735P 64bit Quad core processor, which comes with a Mali T720 graphics processing unit, along with 2GB of RAM and up to 16GB of built-in memory storage.
Alongside the massive battery, the HomTom HT6 features the PumpExpress fast charging technology that can charge the phone up to 75 percent in just 30 minutes, according to Doogee Mobile.
In addition, the HomTom HT6 can last up to seven days during average use and offers up to 72 hours of talk time. It supports 4G connectivity with speeds of up to 100Mbps download rate and up to 50Mbps upload rate. In terms of the design, the phone measures about 9.9mm in thickness and sports smooth curved edges.
The HomTom HT6 will be available in black only, and will run on the Android 5.1 Lollipop version operating system (OS). The phone is also currently available for preorders via GearBest at US$139, Android Headlines reported.
Recently, the Chinese manufacturer launched its Doogee F5 smartphone in September. The F5 phablet also sports a 5.5-inch display screen but with a higher 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution. Unlike the HomTom HT6, the F5 comes with a rear-facing fingerprint sensor.
