New York Comic-Con was the place to be when the "Batman: Bad Blood" trailer was shown to the public for the first time and now DC All Access has released it online.
Along with the trailer, we also get to hear from the cast and crew that were on hand at NYCC 2015 courtesy of DC Entertainment.
Batman, Nightwing, and Robin (Bruce Wayne's son Damien) are joined by first-timers Batwoman and Batwing in an action-packed adventure movie that promises to satisfy your craving for the world of the Dark Knight.
The interviews with the cast and crew give us an in-depth look at the upcoming "Batman: Bad Blood" animated movie.
Be careful for spoilers, however, as details from the movie are going to be discussed along the way, including the two-minute opening sequence.
When asked the details of the film Jason O' Mara, who plays the voice of Batman said,
"Basically [Batman: Bad Blood] picks up with Batman kicking ass, right, as he does very well and gets a little out of his depth. [Batwoman] comes along but she's using guns and that's not really Batman's thing.
She gets herself in a little bit of trouble. Batman sacrifices himself in order to save her and is never seen or heard from again. That is the opening two minutes of the movie."
On the other hand, director Jay Oliva revealed how the bat family got reunited. She said that Damien returns from the monastery. While he was gone, Nightwing tried to take on Batman's role but he's not doing a good job at it.
At some point Luke Fox becomes Batwing and Batwoman joins the group to help find out what happened to the Caped Crusader.
Producer James Tucker also shared how the new characters were added to the film saying,
"I knew we were gonna be doing a Batman and a Justice League [animated movie] per year. But within that I wanted to introduce at least one or two new characters to each franchise.
And so for this one it was great to be able to introduce Batwoman and Batwing."
Gaius Charles, who plays the voice of Batwing, revealed how awesome it is for his character to join the Bat family.
"This is the first time we're seeing him on screen at all so it's really cool. He becomes part of the family and when you see Batwing, he's just taken on the role so there's room for him to develop and hopefully there'll be sequels and we'll see him kind of mature into the role."
Are you excited yet for the official release of "Batman: Bad Blood?" The animated movie will be made available on Blu-ray and DVD sometime in 2016, Comicbook.com reports.
