Four residents of Coney Island claim to have seen strange series of lights that has similarity to the back of the Rebel Alliance craft. One of them took photos of the unidentified object and sent it to the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON).
The one who initially saw it was with three friends to meet another friend. The witness, who always brings along a camera, used a Fujifilm XT1 to capture the image on his device which was on machine gun mode to take rapid shots, said Roger Marsh of Openminds.tv, a UFO website.
"We were passing by the bridge as I decided to just rapid fire some shots of the bridge free hand and I did not have my eye sight in my view finder," the witness shares.
The witness says a sudden string flash he spotted at the corner of his eyes caught his attention. Because of the disc-shaped object's incredible speed, the witness says he captured only one or two images of the object which moved from the front of the bridge where they were standing to out of frame in a few second.
But the witness submitted only one photo because the three other images were in his Mac book that unfortunately crashed a few days ago.
Lillian Waters, MUFON section director for New York state, and John Reinhart, field investigator, estimate that the object's size at 300 feet in diameter with bright yellow-orange external lights. The two closed the report as "Information Only."
The incident, recorded in the MUFON database as Case 70617, happened on June 16, 2015, but it was reported on Sept. 19, but Express and Open Minds published an article on it only on Thursday. The database's collection of UFO sightings could be seen in the video below.
