‘Gotham’ Season 2 Episode 5 ‘Scarification’ Spoilers, Episode 4 ‘Strike Force’ Recap: Family Rivalries Rise Again, Captain Nathaniel Barnes Called To Duty

Family rivalries are set to break the surface in "Gotham" Season 2 Episode 5.

Season 2 Episode 5 is entitled "Scarification." According to Spoilers Guide, Episode 5 will see Galavan and Penguin become allies with a treacherous family in Gotham City. Then, previous rivalry between the Galavans and the Waynes will come up, which will leave Jim Gordon challenged in preserving order in the city.  

Then, a new captain is called to action in "Gotham" Season 2 Episode 4, which was entitled "Strike Force." The episode saw Captain Nathaniel Barnes, who is played by Michael Chiklis, as he was called to duty to assemble a law-abiding task force, along with the help of Det. Jim Gordon.

The episode also saw sprout a development in the relationship between Barnes and Gordon. In his interview with Entertainment Weekly on Oct. 12, Chiklis teased his character's impact on the latter, which brings out something better between the two of them. Chiklis also revealed that the captain would see Gordon moving on a terrible path of the law enforcement.

Along with Barnes' growing bond with Gordon, Gordon also expressed his preparedness to unleash the "get-his-hands-dirty" class of guy in him.

Meanwhile, Season 2 Episode 3, which was entitled "The Last Laugh," saw Gordon and Bullock hunt down an archenemy from their past, which resulted to a stalemate between the former and Cameron Monaghan's Jerome Valeska. Also, a magic show at the Gotham Children's Hospital gala became a hostage situation.

"Gotham" Season 2 Episode 4, entitled "Strike Force," aired on Oct.12 while Season 2 Episode 5, entitled "Scarification," is slated to hit the small screen on Oct. 19.
