"The Last Man on Earth" season 2 episode 4 titled "C to the T," which aired on Oct. 18, Sunday, ended with Todd (Mel Rodriguez) saying, "Daddy's home."
In the "C to the T" episode, Phil/Tandy (Will Forte) is has to face consequences for how he acted in Tuscon although he was welcomed back into the group. The episode opened with Forte's character still in the stockade. Tandy had to endure the cruel games of New Phil and Melissa (January Jones), who enjoyed teasing him in incarceration in the stockade.
According to New Phil's suggestion, Tandy should spend a week in solitary confinement to pay for his crimes. Upping the ante, Old Phil said that he is willing to spend five weeks alone in the workout room.
When Tandy lurched out of jail on the first night of captivity to a nearby table laden with cheese and wine, he was discovered easily. The persistently medieval colonists fitted him with a shock collar the next day.
Tandy spied a fire in the house caused by a tiki torch one night. This was after he found himself locked in an isolated cell by New Phil.
Escaping from his cell, Tandy put out the fire and saved the colonists using the beer bucket filled with water although he had to endure shocks in the process. The colonists wondered who saved them but eventually figured it that it was Tandy.
The colonists was reluctant in their decision to free Tandy and it did not necessary mean that they like him. In particular, Todd seemed infuriated by Tandy. At the end of the episode, Todd opened the door to a house and said, "Daddy's home."
