Vevo has just announced that Taylor Swift has the most watched music video on the platform for her song "Blank Space." The song has already garnered more than 1.2 billion views to date.
Vevo tweeted their congratulations to the 25-year-old singer recognizing the amazing feat of her hit single "Blank Space." It also included a GIF, which was taken from the music video.
Swift reportedly earns $1 million dollars a day, according to Huffington Post. She already earned $318 million this year. Her album "1989" has sold more than 5 million copies and the tour has raked in $173 million to date.
The "Blank Space" was directed by Joseph Kahn and it is also the fastest video to ever reach a billion views, Entertainment Weekly reported.
Swift's "1989" concert tour has been a huge hit as well. She has shared the stage with Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger, Keith Urban, Wiz Khalifa, Ellie Goulding, Avril Lavigne, Selena Gomez, Justin Timberlake, Lorde, John Legend, Alanis Morissette, and more!
"Blank Space" is reportedly a strong contender for the Grammy Awards, according to Billboard. Swift said that it was a self-parody and people who don't get the joke simply don't deserve to know the joke.
"Bad Blood" also set another record for getting 20.1 million views in 24 hours, which only goes to show how big Swift's following is.
Swift has already said earlier that she's planning to take a break after the "1989" tour, which wraps up by the end of this year. She said that people might need a break from her.
The singer is still unclear on what she plans to do but a time off from a busy yet successful year is something she deserves.
