While Amazon Kindle and Kobo have been suiting themselves in the game of oneupmanship for a while now, Barnes & Noble was kept in the dark - at least for some time. The e-reader manufacturer now comes back with a vengeance.

The new Nook GlowLight Plus is a waterproof and dust-proof Nook for worry-free reading anywhere - including the bath and the beach.

The company's slimmest yet, the new reader weighs 6.9 ounces. It's packed with a built-in Wi-Fi and a battery that sustain up to six weeks on a single charge.
Starting Oct. 21, NOOK GlowLight Plus is available in Barnes & Noble stores nationwide in the United States and online at NOOK.com, ad-free, for just $129.99 with free lifetime in-store support.
