iOS 9.1 has just rolled out with the upgrade bringing many exciting features such as emoji icons, as well as a massively huge enhancements to the latest Live Photos feature.
iOS 9 has just launched about a month ago, making the iOS 9.1 the first massive upgrade to Apple's latest operating system for iOS mobile devices, Mac Rumors reported. This being said, iOS 9 operating system did have two petty updates that patched up several minor bugs.
iOS 9.1 existed in beta version for a month. However, users need not to worry because new apps will for sure work once the new update has been downloaded to their device, since developers have already fixed possible issues.
As for the users who want to keep their jailbreak, do not upgrade to iOS 9.1 because doing so will prevent you from downgrading back to iOS 9.0, 9.0.1 operating system or even 9.0.2, 9to5Mac reported.
Several new emojis are also featured in the new iOS 9.1. These include a burrito, a taco, a middle finger, unicorn, a cheese wedge, as well as champagne bottle, to name a few. The enhancements to Live Photos are also noted to include the device sensing the direction it is currently facing. This is designed to cut down on the ending or beginning part of Live Photos coming out mostly blurred photos of clouds in the sky or even plants.
iOS 9.1 can be done by simply going to your iPhone Settings -> General -> Software Update. Once the page loads, just hit the Download and Install button found at the bottom. You may also upgrade your iPhone by connecting it into a desktop computer. Simply follow the instructions in iTunes.
iOS 9.1 upgrade is 252MB, therefore it is recommended that iPhone users download and install the upgrade over Wi-Fi.
