An update on a technology introduced by Innerexile speeds by further the repair of light scratches on self-healing iPhone cases from half a minute to just one second. The secret is its use of a new coating that has microcapsules with an adhesive-like liquid.
If the iPhone case gets damaged, the liquid fills the void so quickly that the device owner might not even realize the case or screen protector was scratched, reports Engadget.
The new coating of the self-repair screen protectors works on iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S Plus models. It is only 0.2 millimeters thick with a hydro-oleophobic coating that are 100 percent compatible with 3D touch and less likely to leave fingerprints. It can resist brass brush weight until two kilograms, or two times protection the previous version.
The iPhone 6S screen protector is priced at $23.99 on Amazon, while the protector for the iPhone 6S Plus is a little bit pricier at $25.99. The two protectors are backward compatible with counterparts of the iPhone 6, which expands the market for Innerexile.
The screen protectors are also sold at Just Mobile at slightly higher prices than Amazon. The Crystal Clear, Matte Black and Matte Clear cases for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6S cost $24.95, and those for iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus are at $29.95.
In the middle of November, Innerexile would release a screen protector with a new tooling that would fit larger devices of the iPhone 6S series.
