AC Milan (4-4-1, 13 points) hopes to continue its winning form as it clashes with reeling squad Chievo (3-3-3, 12 points) for a Serie A 2015-2016 meeting at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday, October 28.

I Rossoneri finally won a game after being winless in their last three outings as the team defeated contending team Sassuolo, 2-1, also at their home stadium of San Siro on Sunday, as reported by Goal.

Strikers Carlos Bacca and Luiz Adriano each scored a goal in both halves of the match, sandwiching I Neroverdi forward Domenico Berardi's left-footer at the 53rd minute to lift Milan for the slight upset victory and three more points in the overall league table.

Siniša Mihajlović's boys had the advantage early as Sassuolo goalkeeper Andrew Consigli was punished with a red card at the 29th after an unsportsmanlike foul on Bacca in the penalty area. The Colombian converted the penalty kick and all went downhill from then on for Eusebio Di Francesco's side.

Meanwhile, erstwhile contenders Chievo suffered their second straight loss and had been without a win for their last four games. They actually just have one win in their last six matches, which drove them down the standings to 11th place, one spot below Milan.

Mussi Volanti's last game was a disappointing 0-1 loss to streaking Napoli, as Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuaín provided the lone goal via a left-foot shot from the center of the box at the 59th minute, as per SkySports.

In this game, it is expected that Milan will take advantage of Chievo's recent struggles on the way to a tough victory.

The predicted result is a close 2-1 decision for AC Milan.
