Ian Somerhalder is rumored to be contemplating on divorcing his wife Nikki Reed after the latter refused to listen to his suggestions.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Somerhalder is not very happy to see his wife doing some steamy scenes in "Sleep Hollow."
At one point, the couple sat down to talk about their problems, but Reed refused to give up his role in the hit TV series.
Somerhalder is reportedly fine with Reed not giving up her role because he understands that it's important to his wife.
However, "The Vampire Diaries" actor is not pleased that Reed didn't even make any adjustments to how she would present her role on television.
According to the publication, Somerhalder is now ready to settle down and have kids with Reed. This is why he wants her to take on more motherly roles from now on.
"Nikki Reed landed the role of Besty Ross on 'Sleepy Hollow' and has succeeded in bringing a sexy edge to the character. However, Nikki's sex appeal upsets her husband, Ian Somerhalder, as 'The Vampire Diaries' star wants her to be more motherly. The frustrations follow Somerhalder and Reed's growing feud over starting a family," the publication noted.
Meanwhile, there are some rumors that if Somerhalder files for a divorce from his wife the actor will most likely try to win back his ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev.
However, Dobrev has said multiple times that she is only friends with Somerhalder.
In an interview with E! News, Dobrev also said that she's happy for Somerhalder marrying Reed at that time.
