"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder is reportedly having problems with his wife Nikki Reed.
According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, the actor has been urging Reed to rethink her role as Betsy Ross on the hit FOX series.
In "Sleepy Hollow," Reed plays the role of sexy character, and Somerhalder reportedly wants his wife to accept more motherly roles.
Since Reed cannot just leave the FOX series on a whim, the couple is reportedly having disagreements.
The publication noted that Somerhalder has already expressed his desire to have kids, but Reed is not ready to become a mother just yet.
This has caused another disagreement between the couple.
In the past, Somerhalder's ex-girlfriend and former "The Vampire Diaries" co-star Nina Dobrev told the former that she's also not ready to have kids.
Multiple sources claimed that this could be one of the reasons why the two broke up.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Somerhalder previously said that he wants to have kids, but the time may not be right for him just yet.
Now, fans are also speculating on the possibility of Somerhalder divorcing his wife because of all the current issues they are faced with.
Some believe that the actor regrets marrying his wife a little bit too soon.
As of late, both Somerhalder and Reed have been mum about the rumors, so it's still unclear if there's any truth to them.
What is only known as of late is that the couple still spend quality time with each other outside of their busy schedules.
