Marvel's "Ant-Man and the Wasp" could explore past events in its cinematic storyline.
According to Cinema Blend, Marvel's forthcoming film sequel could see more flashbacks that might feature Scott Lang and Hope van Dyne, as well as Hank Pym and Janet van Dyne. The publication also mentioned that restoring the CGI effects of the opening scene of Peyton Reed's "Ant-Man" would entail a big chunk of effort; but then, it is assumed that fans would appreciate seeing a previous storyline in the film.
At the moment, director Reed was in talks to come back for the planned "Ant-Man" sequel. Meanwhile, no screenwriter is on board yet to pen the script of the upcoming film, according to Comic Book Resources.
Ant-Man is set to be part of Captain America's team, along with Hawkeye, Falcon, and Agent 13. They will be against Iron Man's team, which reportedly includes Black Widow, War Machine, The Vision, and Black Panther. Spider-Man is also set to appear in the film; however, no information yet as to which side he is in. Meanwhile, the Wasp's inclusion in the film is yet to be revealed.
Along with Marvel's reveal on the Wasp joining Ant-Man in a film sequel, Reed's "Ant-Man" will be released on digital platforms and the Disney Movies Anywhere app on Nov. 12 and Blu-ray/DVD on Dec. 8.
Marvel's "Ant-Man and the Wasp" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on July 6, 2018 while the Russos' "Captain America: Civil War" is set to hit theaters on May 6, 2016.
