With days to spare before "Fallout 4" comes out to its respective platforms, new screenshots of the game on the PS4 have been leaked.
Sadly, as of writing, the leaked photos have already been removed from Imgur. Interestingly, the Reddit poster of the leaked screenshots commented that the screenshots did not live up to expectations, detailed over at Reddit.
Redditor Mindfreak191 enumerated a few things that developer Bethesda has done in the current "Fallout" title. It appears that the draw distance for shadows is only up to 15 meters, with matching low-poly objects from a distance. Shadows are also reportedly limited only to the characters and props, with other vegetation no longer casting them in the game.
Still, the Redditor did point out a couple of improvements as far as comparing "Fallout 4" graphics to the likes of "Skyrim." Among these are much improved high-res shadows, realistically rendered materials despite the overall low-res textures and balanced and consistent lighting.
Previously, Bethesda did state that the team focused more on other interactive gameplay elements instead of the overall graphics for "Fallout 4." This is supposed to be the game that pushes the level of interaction in the role-playing game genre.
As exciting as the leaked screenshots are, some hardcore fans in the U.S. may be happy to know that a Nuka-Cola Quantum drink will likely hit stores. Developer Bethesda has already been in talks with Jones Soda, creator of the drinks, and there is already a plan to sell the Nuka-Cola Quantum drinks exclusively in Target stores come Nov. 10. This is at the same time that "Fallout 4" will see release for players as well.
A screenshot of the Nuka-Cola has been captured by Engadget. As far as the looks go, its design matches well with the Wasteland of "Fallout 4." Proper lighting makes the fizzy drinks look like a glowing liquid straight from the Wasteland.
"Fallout 4" is coming to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. V-Day starts on Nov 10.
