Following their first loss of the season last Sunday, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers (6-1) are traveling to the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte to clash with Cam Newton and his undefeated Carolina Panthers (7-0) for a highly-anticipated 2015 NFL season Week 9 matchup.
Green Bay lost its first game of the year against the Denver Broncos, 29-10, on November 1st at the Sports Authority Field at Mile High as Rodgers struggled throughout the match, as per Sports Illustrated.
The four-time Pro Bowler threw 14-or-22 for a measly 77 yards, his career all-time low for a game where he was not forced out by an injury, had no touchdowns and interceptions, but was sacked three times in the game.
Meanwhile, the Panthers fended off a late Indianapolis Colts rally in overtime, 29-26, with two pressure-packed field goals from placekicker Graham Gano at their home stadium on Monday night to stay unbeaten in the 2015 season, via SB Nation.
Gano missed an extra point in the final quarter as the Colts managed to force the extension, but he made sure to clean it up in overtime to help Carolina extend its season-opening winning streak.
It was a rough night for Newton, but his teammates were able to unite behind him to come away with the victory.
With the Packers' morale low coming into Bank of America Stadium this Sunday, expect another close win for Carolina as they keep their record unblemished and hand Green Bay their second defeat in as many games.
Prediction: Panthers win, 24-21.
