James Gunn has revealed what he wanted people stop asking about his upcoming Marvel Comics film "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2."
Gunn is set to helm "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2," which is set to commence production next year. In his Facebook post, Gunn said that he did not schedule auditions and he did not cast and find extras. According to the filmmaker, there were people who did that and they could find out people who could be extras with a bit of detective work.
For Gunn, he wanted his Facebook page to be a page where people could discuss films, art, ambitions, careers, and psychological well-being. He added that he could share the things he knew about such things and would answer questions as often as possible. He pointed out that his page was not a hiring forum.
Overall, Gunn's relation with his fans was impressive, as per Cinema Blend. The publication added that though he allowed some of his friends and relatives, he would not give the same treatment to random people messaging him on his social media platforms.
Gunn's take on his upcoming "Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" focuses on exploring deeper the characters, which will help fans see themselves in the characters. Gunn previously told Cinema Blend that the film sequel would not be seeing too many characters, since he wanted the characters in the first film to be personal.
Aside from Bautista, the film also stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper (voice), Vin Diesel (voice), Sean Gunn, Karen Gillan, Michael Rooker, and possibly Howard the Duck, among others.
"Sicario" star Benicio del Toro is also set to reprise his role as The Collector while the director teased that there would be one Sneeper in the film. Klementieff was rumored to play Mantis in the forthcoming Marvel Comics film; however, neither Marvel Studios nor the director has confirmed if Klementieff would play the role.
Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2" starts principal production in 2016 and is slated to premiere in theaters in United States on May 5, 2017.
