Author and comedian Leah Remini compared Tom Cruise to a spoiled child as the 53-year-old actor went to the annual International Association of Scientologists celebration on Oct. 23.
The 45-year-old actress recently released a book titled "Troublemaker: Surviving Hollywood and Scientology" on Nov. 3, Tuesday, which include parts criticizing Cruise's behavior and devotion to the late Ron Hubbard's religion.
Remini, who donated $1 million to the Church of Scientology before leaving the religious movement, said that Cruise "seemed like a child who had never been told no," according to the New York Post.
Despite the negative remarks given to the "The Minority Report" actor, Cruise attended the Scientology gathering at Hubbard's house in Saint Hill Manor, England.
Likewise, the Trans-Siberian Orchestra performed at the annual gala attended by around 7,500 people who acknowledged the supposedly immense social impact of Scientology for the betterment of humanity.
The music group's lead singer, Gabriela Guncikova, met and discussed with the Hollywood celebrity and described Cruise as a remarkable actor.
Scientology leader David Miscavige also delivered a three-hour speech and then proceeded to hand out Freedom Medals.
Consequently, Tony Ortega found Cruise wearing a tuxedo and posing with a Freedom Medal recipient. The Scientology critic noted that the 2015 gathering was the first time Cruise attended the annual gala since 2004, when the "Mission Impossible" actor received a Freedom Medal of Valor.
In other news, Remini remarked that Katie Holmes was courageous to leave both Cruise and Scientology. Holmes separated from Cruise in 2012 and left Los Angeles to live in New York with the celebrity model's 9-year-old daughter Suri Cruise.
Holmes and Remini did not have a good relationship in the past, but Remini said that everything has been settled.
"The King of Queens" actress was heavily influenced by the religious movement until 2013 as she finally decided to leave indefinitely. Remini was deeply concerned for herself and her daughter, Sofia Pagan, according to E! Online.
