Nexus and LG devices have received the Android 6.0 update that is packed with simple yet useful features.
The Nexus 5, 6, 7, 9 and the Nexus player have become the first devices to receive the long-awaited Android Marshmallow update.
Once the forthcoming Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P come out, the handsets would already be utilizing the latest Android operating system. Google has also begun releasing Android 6.0 updates to the Android One series, according to Tech Radar.
Likewise, South Korean electronics company LG has become the first third-party brand to have the Android 6.0 update. However, the release is only available for LG device users in Poland.
According to Taiwanese company HTC's executive official Mo Versi, HTC One M8 users can now have their devices upgraded to Android Marshmallow, according to IT PRO.
Chinese telecom company Huawei has stated that the Honor 4C, Honor 4X, Honor 6, Honor 6 Plus and Honor 7 would have Android Marshmallow in February next year.
The Huawei Ascend P8 Max, Mediapad X2, Ascend G7, Ascend P8 and Mate S would also garner the update, but no official date was released for the aforementioned devices.
Similarly, multinational tech company Lenovo will provide Android Marshmallow to the Vibe S1 and Vibe P1 by June 2016. The Lenovo A7000, A7000 Plus and K3 Note handsets would get Android 6.0 in September 2016.
As of Nov. 6, Android Marshmallow already has a better adoption rate than Android Lollipop, with Android 6.0 already claiming 0.3 percent of all Android devices.
The Android 6.0 operating system allows users to have various features such as better app permission controls and a new power management option called Doze Mode.
Google Now's voice command would also be improving its capabilities by having a context-sensitive extension.
The app menu will be having less bloatware than before and Android 6.0 will finally allow users to remove even the stock apps that are barely utilized.
Overall, Android Marshmallow is poised to deliver an efficient, simple and natural user interface for millions of users.
