The release of Jay Oliva's upcoming animated feature film "Batman: Bad Blood" has been revealed.
According to Comic Book Resources, Oliva's "Batman: Bad blood" was slated to debut digitally on Jan. 19, 2016 and on DVD and Blu-ray on Feb. 2, 2016. Along with the announcement of the animated feature's release date, Warner Bros. had also unveiled a standalone cut of the film's promo, as per the publication.
Serving as the follow-up to "Son of Batman," Oliva's "Batman: Bad Blood" follows the absence of Bruce Wayne. Alfred Pennyworth covers for him while Robin and Nightwing watch over Gotham City in his place. Batwoman is also set to appear in the film and she will scrutinize the events behind the disappearance of the Dark Knight.
"Batman: Bad Blood" stars the voices of James Garrett as pennyworth, Sean Maher as Dick Grayson/ Nightwing, Stuart Allan as Damian Wayne/ Robin, Gaius Charles as Luke Fox/Batwing, Yvonne Strahovski as Kathy Kane/ Batwoman, and Jaon O'Mara as Bruce Wayne/ Batman. With Oliva set to helm the film, J.M. DeMatteis is on board to pen the film screenplay.
DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation had released the trailer shown at New York Comic-Con to bear the arrival of the feature's official home release dates, along with some bonus features, as per Collider.
Batman is set to be seen in Zack Snyder's upcoming slate "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," which leads to the rise of the superhero team Justice League. The film stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, among others.
Snyder's is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Mar. 25, 2016.
