"Dance Moms" season 6 cast Maddie Ziegler will miss another episode of the Lifetime reality series. It was said that Abby Lee Miller's favorite student chose to prioritize filming for "The Book of Henry" movie rather than attend a competition over the weekend.
According to Christian Today, Ziegler's name was not included in the list of participants in the Fierce Dance Competition in California. This is not the first time that the reality star had to miss a competition, episode filming to for Colin Trevorrow's film.
Ziegler's absence, however, did not affect the ALDC's team standing. The group reportedly placed first in the Junior Division and Overall Division. The cast members Kalani Hilliker, Kendall Vertes, Jojo Siwa, Nia Frazier, as well as her younger sister Mackenize, all step up their performance to fill Ziegler's shoes.
Insiders claim that Ziegler may be slowly moving on from "Dance Moms." Although Miller confirmed that Ziegler is still part of the reality series, some cannot help but point out that she may be neglecting her team.
Prior to the show's renewal, it has been rumored that Ziegler was having second thoughts about returning to the show. In an interview with Teen Vogue, she revealed that she wanted to enhance her acting and singing skills.
Ziegler has also been very vocal about pursuing an acting career. She shared that she definitely enjoyed her guest stint on "Pretty Little Liars" and would want to be part of the show given the chance.
Apart from "The Book of Henry," Ziegler will also star in Sia's movie titled "Sister."
