iPad Air 3 release may come sooner than later as the iPad Air 2 received generous discounts thanks to Black Friday deals.
Previous reports claimed that iPad Air 3 release is slated in March 2016. If rumors proved to be true, iPad Air 3 release date will most likely be in March 2016 reprising the former release date window of the iPad years back. The 9.7-inch tablet may be joined by the new generation of MacBook devices.
However, the big discounts offered various retailers as part of their Black Friday deals hinted otherwise.
Membership-only retailer Sam's Club is offering one of the best iPad Air 2. The retailer will offer the tablet slashing $150 off the original price of the 64GB and 128GB versions of iPad Air 2. Thus, it brings the price down as low as $437.
Giant US retailer Target is offering iPad Air 2 for $499, but bundled with $150 gift card, while electronics reseller Best Buy is selling the current model of iPad for $450. Walmart also offers $100 off the iPad Air 2 on its in-store sale on Thanksgiving Day.
Meanwhile, iPad Air 3 features reportedly include a stunning 4K screen display and an IP rating making it resistant to dust and water. According to Tech News Today, iPad Air 3 will pack a 9.7 inch screen panel with 4096 x 2160 pixels. The screen will also have 401 ppi and 4:3 aspect ratio. The tablet is also water and dust resistant allowing it to repel dust and moisture that may break the tablet.
Other rumored iPad Air 3 features are: A9X processor, iOS 9, 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB variants, and 8 MP iSight camera at the back and 2.1 MP front-facing camera.
Apple is yet to confirm the aforementioned rumors.
