According to a Neurogadget report, Sony Xperia devices that will get the Android Marshmallow update include the Xperia C4 Ultra, Xperia C4, Xperia M4 Aqua, Xperia M5, Xperia Z2 Tablet, Xperia Z2, Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact, Xperia Z3 Compact, Xperia Z3, Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5.
The rollout of Android Marshmallow for Sony Xperia handsets was scheduled to start before the end of 2015. Reports also suggest that the newest Android devices will get the latest update first. It means that Sony Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia Z5 Compact and Xperia Z5 will get the Android Marshmallow update before the end of 2015.
According to reports, last October, the electronics maker Sony began the build of the Android M update for the Xperia Z5 series, meaning that owners of Xperia Z5 could be in for the Android M update in November and December. After that, the Xperia Z4 Tablet will get the new update. The release date will be dependent on the carrier like AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile and Verizon.
Several reports suggest that Xperia Z3 Compact and Xperia Z3 devices are next in line to get the Android Marshmallow update. A test build of the latest version of Android has reached the Xperia Z3 series; however, this only targets a select number of users, according to a Sony Mobile blog. The upgrade should reach Xperia devices soon.
The Stamina Mode will be enhanced on the Xperia Z5 devices. It is an exclusive feature on Xperia handsets known to improve battery performance by limiting background activities.
