"The 100" season 3 will be welcoming a new cast member in the premiere episode. "Home and Away" alum Rhiannon Fish is set to be part of The CW series when it returns early 2016. Alycia Debnam-Carey will also reprise her role as Lexa amidst shooting for "Fear the Walking Dead."
According to the latest spoilers from Melty, Fish will be playing the role of a young Grounder warrior called Ontari. It was said that her character is "fiercely loyal" and "skilled in the art of deception."
Isaiah Washington, who plays Chancellor Thelonious Jaha, described Fish's character as a "beast." He added that he could not wait for the fans to see the new addition to the cast.
The publication further speculated that Ontari will end up in the Ice Nation tribe. It was said that Ontari may go head on against Lexa's tribe the Wood Clans in the coming season.
Meanwhile, in an interview with NY Castings, executive producer Aaron Ginsburg explained the reason for the delay of season 3. Ginsburg explained that since the series has been "so serialized" it would be difficult to jump from in on a random episode. He added that they wanted to improve on their fan base for the time being.
"The network is hoping new fans will find the show and binge on it over the holidays - allowing our incredible Season 3 to grow in viewership," he said.
In other news, showrunner Jason Rothenberg recently confirmed that Alycia Debnam-Carey will return in the coming episode. Her return has long been in question giving that she also stars in "Fear the Walking Dead."
The actress revealed that Lexa will "show up early" in the coming episodes.
