"American Hustle" actor Said Taghmaoui, who has recently joined the growing cast ensemble of Patty Jenkins' upcoming DC Comics film "Wonder Woman," has revealed his role.
In his interview with the French magazine Ultra (via Comic Book Movie), Taghmaoui said that he would be playing a superhero in Jenkins' "Wonder Woman;" however, details were still under wraps, so he could not tell fans anything that much.
Taghmaoui also indicated that he topped hundreds of other potential actors for the aforementioned role, along with the fact that he had to undergo physical training for it and filming would take six months in four different countries. With this information, his role is not a simple cameo, though his exact role has not yet been revealed, as per Cinema Blend.
Taghmaoui is known for his roles in David Russell's crime drama "American Hustle" and action comedy "Three Kings," Pete Travis' action crime "Vantage Point," and Mathieu Kassovitz crime drama "La Haine." The actor is set to be part of Jane Clark's comedy crime "Slate & Kelly," Rob Gordon Bralver's action film "For All Eyes Always," and Brad Furman's crime drama "Infiltrator."
Meanwhile, Gal Gadot is set to debut her character as Wonder Woman in Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" prior to Jenkins' solo "Wonder Woman" film. The actress is set to share the screen with Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller, Ray Fisher, Jesse Eisenberg, and Amy Adams, among others, in Snyder's film.
Chris Pine is set to play Wonder Woman's love interest, Steve Trevor, while Nicole Kidman has been rumored to play Hippolyta, Wonder Woman's mother and queen of the Amazons.
Snyder's "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" is slated to premiere in theaters in the United States on Mar. 25, 2016. Meanwhile, Jenkin's "Wonder Woman" hits theaters on June 23, 2017.
